Post Processing
About Adobe Lightroom 3
Similar to a traditional darkroom, "Lightroom" allows photographers to tweak almost every aspect of an image. To increase the quality of your photographs, Silver Photography shoots in the RAW image format. The RAW image format subjects the captured image to minimal processing from the image sensor in the camera. Basically, this allows photographers to make the most out of ALL images taken during photo shoots. Basically, you're getting the most bang for your buck!
Lightroom 3 allows adjustments of the temperature of the photo, the exposure, fill light, blacks, contrast and brightness, clarity, and saturation points. Some other high points of Lightroom include red eye correction, teeth whitening, skin smoothing, and spot removal.

Normal Enhancement/Color Corrections
The most popular choice for events such as dances, outdoor parties, graduation ceremonies, etc...
Editing involved primarily enhances colors in the image, with little or no alteration of the true colors from the shoot.

"Photoshop" Effects
Often, clients request more than normal enhancement, such as vignetting, black and white conversion, softening, antiquing, sepia tone effects--the list is endless. The following images are before and after shots of images that undergo such effects.
Object Removal
Using elements in Adobe Lightroom 3, unsightly objects or distracting items can be removed from the photo. Take note of the bright red fire alarm flawlessly removed from this classic wedding shot.
The following two screenshots show a more advanced style of object removal; in this case, a Day-Glo orange traffic cone, and a pedestrian. The first image shows the initial removal of the person and traffic cone, but the result is still a bit sloppy. At this point, the edited image on the right is exported as a JPEG, and then re-imported into Lightroom. Elements to note in the second image are the smoothed features of the removed individual and traffic cone, color enhancements, and the nearly flawless appearance of the image--previewed at the left of the screen.

Warming an Image
One of the more popular features for engagement photo shoots, adding warmth to an image brings out a whole other element to the shoot. Evening sunlight can really be brought out through warming an image, making the process worth the extra cost!
